To My Itty Bit:
I know things are looking down right now but I promise I'm not going to go anywhere. I'm here for you through thick and thin. Parents are given children and when they are given this gift, their lives change forever. Each child brings a little something extra to their lives and gives them yet another purpose to wake up each day. And this is what you do for me. You've become so much a part of me as one of my own children that the thought of you not being there one day is utterly terrifying. You are one of the best parts of my day and getting to talk to you really brightens my life.

You asked the other night how I could care so much about you. You are one of the best kids I've met. You've got a great head on your shoulders. It doesn't seem like it now but in the future that will be to your benefit. You may be in the minority with people you'll age but you'll find that when you are older, you'll be the one people respect. And when that happens I'll be there beaming like never before. I'm already so proud of you. You're still trying to find who you are and what your place in the world is. And I know you'll be something big. And I'm going to be so totally blown away by what you give back to the world when it happens. And I'll be proud then too.

You're going to do wonderful things for the world, C. I know you don't see it now, but you will. You've already given me a purpose. And you've helped me feel like my photography makes a difference. You've changed my life for the better in just the short time that I've known you. I have no doubt that you will change the lives of many others as well. You've got a great many talents, C.
